Certificate of Authenticity (COA)

COA for original paintings:

A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) records key details known to the artist and then passed on to the original buyer. Over time, this information may be lost or separated from the artwork, making verification more difficult. If you’ve acquired a watercolor painting without a COA—or have misplaced yours—reviewing specific markers and artwork history can help confirm its authenticity.

Because an artwork’s documented history contributes to its perceived value, a COA offers both reassurance and long-term significance.

To verify the authenticity of your piece:

  • You may contact Lani directly with photos and any available information about the artwork.
  • Alternatively, enter your COA number in the search box below to access specific details.

Please note: COA documents are securely stored on a third-party server. You may view their privacy policy at Introduction to Dico (refer to the footer/bottom of their page). Upon selecting a file or QR code , a pop-up window will open that can be resized. This window contains a protected link which can be viewed using your internet browser. We recommend using the test file/QR code to determine the best compatibility with your digital environment.

Watercolour treasures:

As part of the artistic process, small watercolour sketches and small paintings are created to explore colour choices, composition, and mood ahead of larger works. Sometimes, though, these turn out perfect — treasures with a charm and character of their own. These watercolour treasures are offered without certificates of authenticity and are priced to be accessible. Find out more……..
